Connection speed |
The upload and download bandwidth available on an internet connection. Typically given in terms of Mbit/Second for broadband, upload and download speeds typically differ by a ratio of around 1:4 |
Data centre |
A secure and controlled series of large capacity computers organised to handle massive volumes of data from a multitude of users who are typically geographically separated. Our backup technologies relay data securely to such data centres. |
Data limit / Backup Limit |
The pre-determined limit (if applicable) of data that a backup account can send to the data centre. This is typically determined by your pricing plan. Exceeding your data limit will normally result in suspension of backups and should be remedied immediately. |
Desktop |
