This full time Marketing Consultant role is office based in Bath. The purpose of this position is to take ownership of the leads nurturing process with the overall objective of generating sales opportunities from new targets, existing customers and channel partners. Tools used are iMac, collateral production and current sales tools. This can be done by:

  • Formulating the overall direct marketing plan that results in the systematic generation of sales leads
  • Working closely with Web and Brand Marketing to ensure a coherent overall marketing strategy and brand messaging
  • Identifying appropriate target contact mailing lists, both horizontal and vertical
  • Creating on-going direct marketing campaigns (email, print, online, social) to guide targets through the various stages of the opportunity cycle (lead nurturing process)
  • Generating appropriate collateral to support campaigns, including emails, white papers, guides, etc.
  • Communicating new product releases and updates to existing customers, partners and the Press
  • Managing external resources to supplement when required
  • Creating and manage tactical offers and promotions
  • Creating and manage Customer / Partner newsletters

Knowledge and skills required:

  • Degree qualified, ideally with 5+ years’ experience in B2B Direct Marketing
  • First rate verbal, written and visual communication skills
  • Excellent creative copy writing skills
  • Strong relationship skills in managing external suppliers
  • Strong team player, works effectively with internal customers
  • Self-starter, high energy and strong commitment
  • Strong organisational skills, thrives on multi-tasking
  • Ability to manage and control budgets, including ROI analysis
  • Analytical and database skills
  • Ability to drive progress and inspire creative thinking from others
