The Qualification (Q) Team is primarily a telesales and telemarketing role and forms a vital function within the sales team. It is vital that the Q Team represents the company in the best possible light and far exceeds the market average in the ability to identify and qualify opportunities for our services. The primary measure of output from the Q Team is qualified sales leads. The Q Team’s objectives are:
- To act as the initial point of contact for inbound prospects and new customers for On Direct Business Services
- To be responsible for outbound calling to follow up marketing campaigns to generate sales leads
- Follow up and close simple packaged deals
Key tasks / main duties:
- Qualify inbound sales enquiries through the use of telephone or live chat, qualified leads to be passed onto Solutions Consultants
- Generate sales leads through outbound prospecting
- Work closely with Marketing to follow up marketing campaigns and mail shots
- Manage and troubleshoot PC backup trial accounts
- Follow up and close simple packaged deals, e.g. PC backup
- Keep up to date on relevant technologies and competitor product offerings within the market
- Working closely with Sales colleagues to ensure overall team success

Knowledge and skills required:
- Proven experience within a telesales role, ideally 2+ years in B2B environment
- Track record of achieving targets and goals
- Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with prospects over the telephone and thrives on providing a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Strong communication skills – both written and oral
- Strong team player
- Focused, driven and target orientated
- Good attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Gregarious, confident and outgoing
- Self-starter, high energy, strong commitment and thrives on multi-tasking
- IT literate with a willingness to learn new technologies
