What makes an Alliance Partner?

Alliance partners recommend IT services to their clients using a best-of-breed approach. Their clients trust them and they in-turn must trust their supply partners to deliver.

Our Alliance partners will not normally consider Online Backup to be a core offering. Equally, they may not have in place the resources and systems needed to bill, collect and support a service such as Online Backup.

In all cases, the revenue earned from Online Backup flows directly to the Alliance Partners' bottom line.

Minimal investment - Recurring profits.

Alliance Partners use Backup Direct™ as an extension to their own business - before, during and after each sale. The sales, technical and support resources of Backup Direct™ are at their disposal, without the costs of employing or training internal staff. To start with the partner can simply identify an opportunity and then rely on Backup Direct™ to advise and guide the sales process.

Alliance Partners can take advantage of ready-built marketing tools including a co-branded micro-website (mSite) provided and hosted free of charge. This site is used to provide our partners with a means to educate and inform their prospects about online data backup without having to build a site themselves. The partner can take advantage of the knowledge and experience within Backup Direct™ and provide this to prospects in a professional and branded way.

The micro-site allows prospects to register to download free trial software and use the online backup service free for up to 15 days. A referral code from the partner's site is passed through to Backup Direct™ allowing for automated notification and reporting to the Alliance Partner. The status of all leads and customers is tracked - ensuring tight control over campaign effectiveness and payments.

Because the revenues from Online Backup are recurring, they quickly accumulate resulting in a significant and stable addition to the Alliance Partners' bottom line.

Just one 'Small Business Server' deal per month can result in commissions of £10,000 over the life of the contracts; royalties that turn directly into profit.

A typical Small Business Server service, which includes backup for Microsoft Exchange, SQL and standard office data, will cost an end customer £100/month. Backup Direct™ pays Alliance Partners 10% of all end-client billing over the life of the contracts, plus a one-off bonus payment of £100 per customer sign-up.

So one new Small Business Server client per month drives royalty payments of:

Year One Royalty£1,980.00
Year Two Royalty£3,420.00
Year Three Royalty£4,860.00

Of course, some clients will spend more and some will spend less. But the important fact is that royalties for the Alliance Partner grow over time and drop straight to profit.
