Data Archiving | offsite storage, CD restore.
Data archiving works in conjunction with our data backup service by transferring key business data previously backed up to CD for long term offsite storage. It is also used to provide CD restore of files more quickly than over the internet.
Who is data archiving for?
Data archiving is for any business that needs to archive data or have 'hard' access to it. Archiving can be for audit, compliance or legal reasons. Data archive is also useful for sending complete sets of documents and systems files to users that do not have broadband access - at home, for example.
What does data archiving offer?
Data archiving offers CD offsite storage (or at your premises) of backed up data. It also offers CD restore for fast and efficient reproduction of lost / corrupted computer data avoiding large volumes of backup data being transferred online.
How does data archiving work?
You can make a request by phone, on-line or via the client software to have a set of CDs made for you. We will produce them within 24 hours and send them by courier to you. Alternatively, we will archive the CDs in our secure facility for later retrieval as needed. If required, we can arrange for a regular monthly archive set to be produced and stored.
How much does it cost?
Prices are £35 for the three CDs and £15 for each additional CD plus post and packaging.
