centres, data is encrypted to 128-bit level (military grade) before
transmission, thus making it effectively impossible to intercept and decrypt the
data.
Customers have a secret password, an account number and an encryption key
to ensure that only they can access their data.
The data centres themselves are class-A facilities, making use of fire
suppression, security cameras, ID access controls, backup generators, multiple
ISPs and high-end firewalls. Clustering and mirroring technologies are deployed
to ensure the data is always available.
We use two independent data centres, based in the UK and mainland Europe.
All these combine to ensure a service that is usually considerably more secure
than the client's own environment.
