Job Description
We are looking here for a number of individuals who can join our sales organization, through a structured training program. The role will include handling in-bound sales enquiries (generated by existing marketing activities), qualifying opportunities, selling Backup Direct services, preparing proposals, prospecting and closing sales deals. The role is largely telephone and office-based, working closely with existing sales professionals and marketing.
Career Development
Initially, you will join our ‘Q-Team’, where you will learn about our products and services, how to qualify sales opportunities and support senior sales staff. Training will be provided both in specific technologies as well as using on-going sales training. During a nine month training period, the role will evolve into either 1) a quota carrying new-business development role or 2) a customer account management role. In each case, there is the opportunity to earn significant amounts through commissions.This is an ideal opportunity to enter the world of professional IT sales.
Personal Requirements
The role will suit a confident and empathetic person with excellent communication skills. You will be a quick learner, able to absorb complex and technical concepts. You will be able to communicate credibly and simply with senior business managers and IT professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the art and craft of professional IT selling in a supportive environment.
Academic Requirements
Ideally, a degree with a technical or an analytical slant. However, more important are the required sales traits of: empathy, energy & enthusiasm.
Salary
Starting salary will be £17,000 rising to £20,000 with experience, plus commissions.
